Denise is a quasi-native resident of Florida; her parents moved their young family to Orlando in 1978. Knowing since elementary school that she wanted to be a lawyer, Denise attended the University of Central Florida (GO KNIGHTS!) and obtained her B.A. in Political Science with honors in 3 ½ years. Following UCF, Denise attended Stetson University College of Law in St. Petersburg.

Denise N. Murphy began her legal career in Lakeland, Florida as an associate amd became a partner after only a few years. In early 2005, Denise opened her own law practice in Safety Harbor. Since beginning her career, Denise has had, and continues to have, a diverse legal background with extensive experience in many different areas of law.

Denise and her real estate broker husband are dog lovers (especially German Shepherds) and are long time volunteers with and supporters of the Suncoast Animal League, a non-kill animal shelter in Palm Harbor. Denise is also an avid sports fan, especially college football.
